He was born on May 5, 1927 in Osmond, Nebraska and later graduated from High School in Osmond, NE in 1945. He served in the United States military for a total of seven years; four with the United States Army and three with the United States Army Reserve. He was Honorably Discharged in March, 1957. He supported his family through a career as an Electronics Technician with Stennis Space Flight Center Test Facility (Rocketdyne, a division of Rockwell International) in Bay St. Louis, MS. Killian was married to his beloved wife, Janet F. Beck, for 55 years, now deceased. He fathered seven children ; Diane Beck, Michael Beck (Connie), Robert Beck (Suzy), Carolyn Beck, Jane Beck Biggs (Mark), Jeffrey Beck (Ashley), Amy Beck Goss (Christopher). He was also the proud grandfather to fifteen grandchildren; Evin & Amanda Beck, Graham, Hayden & Payton Beck, Erin Dickman & Sophia Wiley, Brandon & Hannah Biggs, Caroline, Charlotte & Camille Beck, and Savanna, Ethan & Abby Goss. Killian was a long-time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Slidell, LA. He had a passion for wood-working, growing plants & donating blood at the American Red Cross. Dad, you will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. We love you dearly! Relatives and friends of the family are welcome to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 400 Westchester Blvd., Slidell, LA 70458 on Friday, Sept 26, 2014 at 12:00 oÕclock noon. Visitation for the public will be held at the church on Friday, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Slidell, LA.
