John Peter Cole, age 31, of Slidell, LA, passed away on September 10, 2014.

Loving husband of Allison Cole and father of two beautiful daughters - aged 4 
and six months
Beloved son of Russell ÒRustyÓ Cole and Kim Cole
Brother of the late Ryan Cole
John attended Salmen High School where he was an integral part of the 2000 
state championship football team. After graduating from Salmen High, John 
attended Southeastern Louisiana University and ultimately chose to dedicate his 
life to helping others by becoming a public servant.
John began his career as a corrections officer with the St. Tammany Parish 
SheriffÕs Office.
From there, John became a patrolman for the Mandeville Police Department, and 
ultimately obtained his goal of becoming a detective with the Slidell Police 
Department.

Det. John Cole was assigned to the narcotics division, and also served as a 
member on the Slidell Police DepartmentÕs S.W.A.T. team.
Det. Cole was a heavily decorated officer and received numerous awards over his 
career, such as: countless letters of commendation, four unit citation awards, 
an exceptional service award, and a distinguished service award.

John will be dearly missed by his family, hundreds of friends, and his brothers 
and sisters of the Slidell Police Department.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral
Services at the Slidell Muncipal Auditorium, 2056 2nd St., Slidell, LA
on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 2:00 P.M.

Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation on Monday after 11:00 A.M. until funeral time.
