Dorothy Mae Tisdale Loyd passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the age of 
85.  

Dorothy was born in Covington, LA, on Monday, March 4, 1929, to the late Laura 
Galloway and Frank Tisdale.  

Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Covington and worked at St. Scholastica 
Academy until her retirement.

Beloved wife of the late George M. Loyd, Sr. 
Loving mother of Clarice Loyd Chehardy (Moe), George M. Loyd, Jr. (Jackie), 
David A. Loyd (Cindy), Arnold Loyd, John E. Loyd, Sr. (Carol), Ronald G. Loyd 
(Jayne), Micheal J. Loyd (Debi), Gary C. Loyd (Madelyn), Bruce D. Loyd 
(Patricia), and Laura Loyd Lee (Brett). 
Sister of Betty Pertuit and the late Hezzie “Buck” Tisdale, August Tisdale, 
Maurice Tisdale, Clyde Tisdale, Sherwood Tisdale, Katherine Davis Rogers, 
Lillian Wilson, Idonia Wilson and Clara Barnett.
Also survived by 23 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and many nieces, 
nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel 
of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA 70435 on Friday, 
October 10, 2014 at 12:00 pm.   Visitation from 10:00 am until service time. 

Interment will follow in Fussell Cemetery.
