Jean Agnes Pennington, born March 29, 1933 in New Orleans to the late Agnes 
Helen Kustenmacher and James D. Pennington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 
October 7, 2014 in Covington, LA at the age of 81.  

Beloved mother of Jude Rene Barbin (Richelle) and Phyllis Jude Barbin (Huey 
Mitchell).  Grandmother of Abigail Helen Barbin, Ella Rose Barbin and Chloe 
Jean Barbin.  Sister of Barbara Ann Pennington.  Aunt of Timothy Freese, Amy 
Carter and Terrance Freese.  

Preceded in death by her former husband, Phillip Milton Barbin. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. 
Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St, Abita Springs, LA 70420 on 
Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 3:00 pm.   Visitation at church from 2:00 pm 
until service time. 

Interment will follow in Abita Springs Cemetery #1.
