Sookdeo “Gilley” Ramkhalawan passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Pontchartrain Guest House, Mandeville. 

A native of Sipiria, Trinadad & Tobago, moved to the United States in 1982 and in 1991 moved to Covington. 
Gilley was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by those who knew and loved him. 

Devoted husband of Celia E. Gonzalez for 37 years. Loving father of David Ramkhalawan, Jose Sanchez and Domingo Sanchez. Brother of Deo Ramkhalawan, Bhanwari Ramkhalawan and Sukdaya Ramkhalawan. Uncle of Cindy Ramkhalawan, Michelle Ramkhalawan and Hector Cruz and a host of nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Serenity Funeral Home, 20419 Hwy. 36, Covington on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 12 Noon. Visitation at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 am until service begins. 

Interment immediately following at Abita Springs Cemetery.
