He retired from the STPSO for 28 yrs, was an elected board member for WST Electric for 27 yrs, and St. Tammany Fire District Board of Commissions for 23 yrs, and was a member of Charter Oak Baptist Church in Pearl River, LA. Mr. Singletary is survived by his children Richard “Marty” Singletary Jr., Darlene Williams, and Kenny Singletary, 6 grandchildren Shelly, Toni, Courtney, Shane, Sheree, and Hubba, and 15 great grandchildren Cameron, Shea, Jacob, Dakota, Kelsie, Nolan, Ana, Bella, Theresa Lynn, Brenna, Hunter, Ty, Danielle, Paige, and Bryan. He is preceded in death by his wife Etta Ruth Singletary, his parents Herman and Macie Singletary, his daughter Becky Lynne Singletary, his brother Edward Phil Singletary, and sisters Ruby Lee Rogues and Hilda Olivia Greguras. -Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday October 28, 2014 at 2 pm from the chapel of D.T. Williams Funeral Home 67525 Hwy 41 Pearl River, LA 70452. Visitation will be held on Monday October 27, 2014 from 6 pm to 9 pm and again on Tuesday from 9 am until service time at 2 pm.
