He was 84. Ed was born on December 8, 1928 in New Orleans, LA. He is preceded in death by his mother Carrie Buras Taylor, father Marvin Taylor, sisters Angelina Taylor Kenner, Doris Taylor Kinler, Joyce Taylor, and stepson Scott Schneider. His construction company, Tayco Commercial Construction and Development Corp. was considered as one of the premier restaurant construction firms in the City, with numerous builds to its credit both locally and nationally. Although Ed did not attend Louisiana State University, he considered himself their #1 fan. His Saturdays were consumed with LSU Tiger football, whether in Death Valley, on the road, or in front of his TV. He celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with great zeal. It was his favorite holiday.
