He was born on February 4, 1927 in Chatham, LA to the late Stephen Eugene Waldrop and Elizabeth Pankey Waldrop. Bryant was married to his beloved wife, the late Mary Littell Waldrop for 60 years and together they had six children, Deborah Waldrop, David Waldrop, Yvonne Sleger (Mike), Elaine Conrad, Steven Waldrop (Virginialea), and the late William Waldrop. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Bryant was preceded in death by his 6 siblings. Bryant served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a devoted member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church and sang in the choir for many years. He was a petroleum engineer and retired from Schlumberger after 45 years. Bryant played numerous sports throughout his life and was an avid golfer and bowler. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433, at 11:00 AM with Visitation from 9:00 AM until service time.
