Batti, Sr. passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014 in Madisonville, LA. He was born, Saturday, October 11, 1930 in Brockton, MA to Gertrude Gale and Victor Batti and has been a resident of Madisonville, LA for the past 16 years. For 32 years he was the devoted and loving husband of Linda Sacco Batti He grew to dearly love his wife's family which includes: Betty Meaux and her late husband Jerry, Steven and Pam Meaux, Michelle and Brian Breaux, William Meaux, Johnny and Amy Meaux, Tommy and Kristen Meaux. He cared deeply for his God children - Mandy Plauche and her husband Clint and Mark Verbois and his wife Brandy. He also leaves behind the apple of his eye, his little man Jake Plauche. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother - Lt. Col. Donald Batti and his sister - Jean Batti Reynolds. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he served as a cryptologist and was very proud that to this day the code he helped to create has never been broken. Upon graduating from Oklahoma State University he went to work for the General Motors Company and retired as their Metropolitan District Manager of sales after 39 years of dedicated service. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a gathering in memoriam from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Following a eulogy at Noon, family and friends are welcome to join the funeral procession to the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, LA for committal services and military honors.
