Clara Bertheaud, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital surrounded by her family. 

She is survived by her daughter, Gail Brule, son-in-law Rodney and two amazingly beautiful great grand-children, Brittney, 17 and Craig, Jr., 6. 

Clara was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Craig. 

Clara touched all who knew her with her kind nature. She was a mom but also an accomplished business woman who worked until retirement with the Federal government at the age of 60. She loved to sew, dance, swim, travel and had an amazing zest for life. She loved animals, and loved to work in her garden. Her last 9 years were spent in the loving care of Pontchartrain Health Care Centre where she met and touched the lives of many wonderful caretakers and residents alike. She was universally loved for her infectious laughter, bright blue twinkling eyes, and beautiful smile.

Visitation will be held from 9:00am until 11:00am on Friday November 28, 2014 at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West in Slidell, LA. 

Following a service at 11:00am, Clara will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
