A Slidell, Louisiana native and Salmen High graduate, Class of 1998. Beloved son of Eugenia “Genie” Ketteringham Gibbs and Randy Gibbs, father of Shannon Chester, Alexis Gibbs, and Kristian Gibbs, brother of Kristie Gibbs Stoltz, brother-in-law of Ray Stoltz, Jr., uncle of Colby Wilson, Kairi Wilson, Alex Stoltz, and Ray Stoltz, III. He was a loving devoted father, son, brother, uncle, strong protector, and friend to all. Employed by Exxon Mobil at the Chalmette Refinery as an automation technician. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and prayed with his children especially when they went to bed. He loved his kids, family, The Lord, life, football (especially the Saints and LSU), cooking, (boiling crawfish and barbequing ribs were his specialties), dancing, fishing, outdoors, boating, and all forms of motor sports (if it had a motor he was into it). As a member of the NRA a good trip to the shooting range was always enjoyed but nothing was more important to him than his children and family and their wellbeing. His booming voice, quick wit, infectious smile, and laughter will forever be missed. Relatives, friends of the family, and coworkers, former and present, are invited to attend the services. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA.
