He was born on April 16, 1924, in Houston, TX to the late Francis Marion Harris and Frances Ernestine Guderian. Willie is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Betty D’Amico Harris; Two daughters, Kathleen Harris Davidson, (Bruce) of Covington, LA, Patricia Harris Seoud, (Darsh) of Big Bear Lake, CA. Willie was the dearest friend to Darryl and Loretta Owen. He was the loving grandfather of Bryan Harris Davidson, Christopher Michael Davidson, Matthew Harris Owen and Jacob Vincent Owen and great grandfather of Benjamin Harris Davidson, Samuel James Davidson, Brenden David Owen, Samantha Elizabeth Owen and Joseph Michael Owen. Willie was the brother of the late Doctor Francis Marion Harris and Wayne Louis Harris. He will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews and his faithful companion, “Pierre.” Willie served in the Army Corp of Engineers during World War Two and worked for the US Forest Service, before enjoying a lifelong career with Chevron, where he retired as a Senior Representative in the Land Department. He attended Fortier High School and Tulane University. Willie also served on the Mandeville Planning and Zoning Board and the Special Events Committee. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte Street, Mandeville, LA 70448, at 11:30 AM with Visitation from 10:30 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Mandeville City Cemetery Mausoleum, Mandeville, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in the name of James W.
