She was the beloved wife of John A. Mertz III, the mother of Justin W. Wall, and the daughter of Nancy P. Smith, and the late David L. Smith Jr. She was the sister of David L. Smith III, and his wife Jan, and Lee S. Barrilleaux, and her husband, Alvin. Her cherished grandchildren, Cassidy C. Wall, her Grammy’s Angel Face, Timothy T. Wall, her handsome man, and Emma Wall. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews, Marcel Courtiade, David R. Smith and his wife Kelly, A.J. Barrilleaux and his wife Corin, Aimee “Mamie” Barrilleaux and her husband Zach, Melissa M. Nunley and her husband Jonathon, Jamie L. Smith, and Kaylin R. Smith. She was also the sister-in-law of Elliot Mertz, and Judy M. Bell. She also leaves behind many family members, friends, and neighbors, whom she adored. Belinda was the most loving, caring, and giving person. She was always up for fun, and loved to laugh, and could find humor in just about any situation. Her days always started with her coffee and crossword puzzle, and ended with a cocktail(s), while watching Jeopardy. She considered herself a “Domestic Godess” and when she wasn’t taking care of her husband and home, she loved spending time with her best friends, Karen Labatut (Chickadee) and Gwen Babin (Aunt Gwenie). Her Sundays were always reserved for brunch at Copland’s with her husband, and of course, if it was football season, the Saints. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014, from 10:00am until 1:00pm, at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE BLVD WEST, in Slidell. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm. ===================
