Beloved wife of the late Charles M. Smith, Jr. Mother of: Charles M. Smith, III and wife, Sara; Kathy L. Schexnayder and husband, Paul; Jodie L. Griffin, and husband Norm; Cindy L. Barner and husband, Ricky; Leslie Smith and wife, Donna; Amy Ann Smith and special dog, Lucy. Daughter of the late Theo and Iris Lemoine. Sister of: Dr. Anthony Lemoine; Rev. Russell Lemoine; and the late Martin Lane Lemoine. Also survived by her grandchildren: Brad (Laura); Ashley (Daniel); Emily (Brit); Jennifer; Mark; Amy (Rudy); Leigh (Ryan); Kathy; Ethan (Christina); Austin (Lauren); Alex; and Evan. Great grandchildren: Grant; Drew; August; Taylor; Leah; Breckin; Zach; Joe; Collin; Cole; Lilly; Cade; and Kenzie Amy grew up in Cottonport, LA, attended Lady of the Lake College in San Antonio, TX where she met her future husband Charles. After they married, they settled in Moreauville, and then later moved to New Roads. Amy was a friend to all and will be remembered for her sweet laugh and most genuine smile. She was the best mother and will be dearly missed by us all. The family would like to thank Canon Hospice and their staff for the excellent care given to Amy and also her loving sitters, Penny and Janelle. Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Roads on November 19, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. Visitation at the church starts at 9:00 A.M. Internment at a later date.
