Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2014/st1412.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Adelaide Johnson Boettner passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at her home in Mandeville surrounded by her children. She was born in New Orleans on May 18, 1933 to Adelaide Dumestre and Henry Johnson. A native of New Orleans, she attended Holy Name of Jesus High School and was a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University. As a child, her family frequented their summer home on the Northshore and made it a permanent residence while she was a teenager. After receiving her college degree, she married Robert Boettner, Sr. and during their marriage they owned and operated a Real Estate and Insurance Agency. She developed a love for her community took action to become a significant part of it. She was involved with the Fourth Ward Recreation District, a member of the Jaycee Jaynes and a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. She dedicated 24 years to the Mandeville City Council and was instrumental in its growth from a Town to the City it is today. She is survived by her five children: Kim Boettner Martt (Bob), Robert Boettner, Jr. , Peggy Boettner, Susan Boettner Cazaux (Lanny), Wendy Boettner Bohlke (Michael); six grandchildren: Whitney Parrott Busscher, Corey Cazaux, Christopher Cazaux, Preston Parrott, Thomas Boettner, Kathryn Boettner and three great grandchildren: Adelaide and Graham Busscher and Paisley Parrott. She is preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Kathryn Johnson and two brothers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St. Mandeville, LA 70448. A Wake is scheduled to take place Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 6-9:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours at the church on Wednesday will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment at the Mandeville Cemetery will immediately follow mass.
