She was born on Friday, February 6, 1920 in Mt. Pleasant, TN to Maxie Bishop and Clarence Poag and was a long time resident of Covington, LA before recently moving to Baton Rouge. The beloved wife of the late Michael S. Cannon, she is survived by three sons - Hugh Michael, Bruce Reeves and Scott Poag Cannon; one brother - Joe Poag; eight grandchildren - Stacey, Melissa C., Melissa P., Tyler, Brittany, Sarah, Katie and Kool and six great grandchildren - Andrew, Aaron, Jordan, Sophia, Jase and Sarah. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers - Charles and Dalcomb Poag. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at 11:30 AM on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours on Saturday will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, LA will immediately follow services. ===================
