David Parom “D.P.” Harris, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in 
Mandeville, LA. 
He was born on January 2, 1927 in Trees City, LA to the late David P. Harris, 
Sr. and Samuel Burney Posey Harris.

D.P. was married to his beloved wife, Lois Mills Harris for 65 years and 
together they had one precious daughter, Libby H. Cole. He was the loving 
grandfather of Stacy Neal Hollowell, James David Hollowell, and Courtney Shea 
Cole. He leaves behind 5 darling great grandchildren. D.P. was the brother of 
Kenneth Harris and Brian Posey. He will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, 
and cousins.

D.P. was lovingly devoted to his family and church and was a member of The 
Upper Room Sunday School class.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service 
on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Broadmoor United Methodist Church, 3715 Youree 
Drive, Shreveport, LA 71105 at 2:00 PM with a reception after the service. 

In lieu of flowers, the famly requests donations be made to Broadmoor United 
Methodist Church, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
