Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2014/st1412.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Funeral services for Ralph Edwin Redd, age 88, of Mandeville, LA, who died Thursday, December 25, 2014, will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, Brookhaven, MS. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Graveside services will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS. Mr. Redd died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Redd was born in Bogue Chitto, MS on August 30, 1926, the son of Samuel Jefferson Redd and Ada Ion Smith Redd. He was a resident of Natchez, MS from 1959 to 2002 before making his home in Mandeville, LA. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Covington, LA, and a former member of First Baptist Church, Natchez, MS. Mr. Redd was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a loyal employee of the B. F. Goodrich Tire Company for 33 years, retiring at the age of 57. He enjoyed the great outdoors, beagle field trials, hunting, and was known for his vegetable gardening. His faith in Jesus Christ was enduring to the end and he loved to spend time with his precious family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lowery Redd, and two sisters, Evelyn Redd, and Lucile Redd Leggett. He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, LaNeil Noble Redd; four children: Judy R. Robertson (Paul) of Sugar Land, TX, David Redd (Carol) of Ten Mile, TN, Lucy R. Dykes (Elven) of Mandeville, LA, and Gayle R. Humenansky of New Orleans, LA. Four grandchildren: Chad Robertson (Cathy), Charise Roberston Wilson (Bruce) all of Brandon, MS, Alister Humenansky (Lauren) of Mobile, AL, and Penelope Humenansky of Miramar, FL. Four great-grandchildren: Camryn, Caleb, and Conner Robertson; and Abigail Wilson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, step-grandchildren and their families. Pallbearers will be Chad Robertson, Bruce Wilson, Alister Humenansky, Bill DuBose, Kevin Dykes, and George Forbes. The family would like to extend special thanks to Mr. Redd’s caregivers over these past few years for their wonderful care: Ashley, Tonia, Rose, Paula, Barbara, and Sheila.
