Edward Sharpe passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the age of 87.

Beloved husband of 64 years to Alberta Peterson Sharpe. Loving father of Don 
Sharpe and Madonna Covington (Michael). Son of the late Dora King Sharp and 
Hezzie Sharp. Brother of Ocie Lea Sowder (Merle), Vernie Nettles (the late 
Joe), Jennie Jenkins (the late Lloyd), Vivian Crowell (the late Adolph) and the 
late Eva Nettles (the late Elliott). Grandfather of Kristin Covington and 
Brooke Covington (Gregory). Great-grandfather of Jackson Laudun.

He was a retired employee of NOPSI/RTA after 38 years of service. He was a 
native of Covington, a resident of New Orleans, St. Bernard and then 
Prairieville after Hurricane Katrina.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. 
Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, 
December 20, 2014 at 2:00 PM with visitation on Saturday beginning at 12:00 
noon.

Interment will follow in Barker-McManus Cemetery.
