A resident of Metairie at the time of his death, and previously lived in Chalmette for 40 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 74 years, Audrey Marie Bourgeois Frank. Ferdie is survived by their five sons; Kenneth (Suzanne), Richard (Lisa), David (Dee), Darryl (Margaret), and Karl. Proud Paw-Paw of five grandchildren; Kristen Renwand (Randy), Kendra Sikes (Clayton), Rocky Frank (Melissa), Nick Frank (Jessie) and Justin Frank. Also survived by five great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand Frank, Sr. and Justine Chalaire Frank. Ferdie was a World War II veteran and a Pearl Harbor survivor, serving 6 years in the U.S. Navy (1941-1947). He spent his working years in construction where he was Chief Superintendent of Gurtler-Hebert Construction Co. He later did independent residential and commercial construction with his brother Ronnie Frank. Ferdie was an avid gardener and was proud of his awesome rose bushes, fruit trees and vegetable gardens at their residence in Chalmette, LA. The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice and especially his amazing caregivers, Sheryl Lawanda and Kaylen. Visitation : A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 11:00 am. Visitation at the funeral home from 9:00 am until Mass time. The interment is scheduled at a later time at St. Louis III Cemetery. U.S. Navy ===================
