HUGHES, JAMES (JIMMY)

James “Jimmy” Hughes passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the age of 
69. 

A native of New Orleans and a resident of Covington.

Beloved husband of Melanie Rousset Hughes for 31 years. 
Father of Hope Dubois Whiteford. 
Son of James and Ollie Hughes.
Brother of Gary Hughes (Fay), Thomas Hughes (Kathy), Mary Beth Harris, Stephen 
Hughes and the late Avery Hughes. 
Brother-in-law of Ricky Rousset, Donna Rauch, Sheri Borgstede, Jeffrey Rousset, 
and Tara Rousset.
Son-in-law of Yvonne Rousset and the late Larry Rousset. 
Also survived by two grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces 
and nephews. 

Interment was private.

The family wishes donations to be made in his memory to: St. Tammany Humane 
Society, 20384 Harrison Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
