She was surrounded by her family and loved ones at the time of her passing. She had battled breast cancer with grace and good humor for over five years. Born Janet Louise Catalina to Harriet Louise Catalina and Jay Reginald Catalina, she grew up with 3 brothers, which caused her to develop a high level of compassion, humor, and atience. She was born and raised in Delaware and graduated from University of Delaware with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Sciences. On a sailing trip down the East Coast in 1975 she met her future husband, James Ronald Luttrell. They married in ’78 and moved to south Louisiana, where they remained for the next 37 years. They have two children, Samantha Louise Luttrell and James Zachary Luttrell, who also reside in Louisiana. Janet was known and loved for her gentleness, sense of humor, and kindness. She had a deep faith and loved the Lord, striving every day to live in a way that honored Him. She loved the water, and continued to sail and boat throughout her life. Janet was also an animal lover, and often rehabilitated and rehomed stray animals. She was an incredibly nurturing person, with animals, people, and plants alike. Janet was also very creative, and over the years created her own works of pottery, stained glass, and blown glass. After devoting many years to raising her children and caring for her family, she became a licensed massage therapist. Janet loved to help people improve their health, and her friends, family and clients were blessed by her ‘healing touch.’ She was greatly loved and respected by many and will be missed beyond measure. Janet is survived by her husband, two children and her mother. She is also survived by her three brothers, John, Jay, and Jim Catalina. A memorial to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, January 17th, at 12pm. “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 ===================
