She was born on January 2, 2014, in Covington, Louisiana, to her loving parents, James Monroe Province and Katherine Houghton Province. Dixie is the twin sister of Daisy Blues Province. She is the beloved great- granddaughter of Hank Baxter and Stella Baxter and Jan Province; granddaughter of Kevin Province and Robin Province, Gayle Anderson and Doug Anderson, and Nestor Houghton and Santa Houghton. Her Godparents are James Rogers and Amy Rogers and their children, Maddie, Annabelle, and Jimmy. Her Co-Godparents are Timothy Beam and Debera Bell-Beam and their daughter, Taylor Beam. Dixie’s best friends are Tina Hyatt, Trinity Hyatt, and Grace Hyatt, and Nanny Barbie. She had her own personal clown, Chris Cathey, who always made the tears go away. She leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, including: Aunt Samantha Houghton and Cousins Gabriel and Brooks, Aunt Michele Mancuso, Uncle Jason Mancuso and Cousin Anthony, Aunt Laura Jacobs and her Cousin Olivia. Uncle Nestor Houghton Jr.,Uncle Wayne Province, Aunt Krystal Province and Cousins Brylee and Brenner and Uncle Chris Houghton and Family. During her brief visit on earth, Dixie loved playing with her puppies, Duece, Arrbia, and Cricket and diving into her and her sisters ball pit. Her favorite games were peek-a-boo and making Dad laugh at her lemon face. Dixie was a mommy’s girl that loved to sing and dance with her Mom and would give PSY a run for his money with her own performance of Gangnam Style. Dixie was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, January 16, 2015, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 East 19th Ave., Covington, LA 70433, at 1:00 PM.
