Beloved husband of 50 years to Yvonne Broussard Warren. Loving father of Helen Bartholomew (Harold, Jr.), Justin Warren (Ann), Matthew Warren, David Warren, Lesa Henry (Kevin) and Patrick Warren. Son of the late Agnes Stanley Warren and Francis Junius Warren. Grandfather of Celia and Tyler Justo, Leah and Emily Bartholomew, Morgan and Connor Henry, and Eric Warren, Michelle, Kyle, Katelynn and Gabriela. Brother of Stanley Warren (Belle), Anne Montgomery (Levere, Jr.), Warren Guy Warren (Joan), Fritz Warren (Jacque), Vincent Warren, Denis Warren and the late Francis Warren, Clytie Watson, Esther Drury, John Warren, Margaret Sullivan and Barbara McGahee. Jerry was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. After graduating from Bishop Kenny High School in 1954, he left Florida to attend U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Great Neck, New York. As a cadet in the academy, Jerry traveled to South Africa, French Morocco, Spain, Costa Rica, and Panama. He graduated with a B.S. in Marine Engineering in 1958. Jerry then served 2 years active duty in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant Junior Grade aboard the destroyer U.S.S. C.K. Bronson (DD-668). He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1960 and began his career with Lykes Bros. Steamship Co. in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1964 he married the love of his life, Yvonne (Evie) Broussard. Jerry and Evie moved to Puerto Rico with their 3 small children to begin his career with ICEE where he successfully expanded the business to the Caribbean. Jerry and Evie also expanded their family to six children. During his career with ICEE Jerry was General Manager in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, then promoted to President in 1983 at which time he moved his family to Mandeville, Louisiana where he has since resided. Later in life Jerry opened one Rapid Oil Change in Metairie, Louisiana which ultimately evolved into 29 Take 5 Oil Change locations across the country. The business was sold and Jerry and Evie retired to enjoy their golden years together traveling the world. Jerry will be remembered fondly by all who knew him as an adoring husband and family man, fisherman and sailor, fixer of all things mechanical, but most of all a fun person to be around. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 W.
