She was born on July 28, 1962 in Bogalusa, LA to H. Chelton Busby and Jimmie Strahan Busby. Lisa was married to her beloved husband, Arthur E. “Pete” Clement, for 35 years and together they had three children, P. J. Clement, Whitney Clement (Matt Nielsen), Travis Clement (Grace). She was the sister of Chet Busby (Barbara) and aunt of Megan Busby Gouzy (Joshua) and Jamie Busby. Lisa also leaves behind her precious dogs, Tony and Tallula. Lisa graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southeastern University in Hammond, LA with a degree in Mathematics Education and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She earned a Master’s Degree in Mathematics from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN. Lisa retired from teaching mathematics at Northlake Christian School in Covington, LA. Part of what made Mrs. Clement a gem was that she not only taught the higher level students very well, but she also had an immense amount of patience with the students that math did not come to as quickly. She encouraged everyone to persevere, to trust their work, and that hard work does indeed pay off. She had an amazing gift of teaching, and touched countless students’ lives over her 17 years at NCS. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433, at 12:00 Noon with Visitation from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Covington, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lisa Clement Memorial Scholarship or to Northlake Christian School ===================
