Born on Nov. 28, 1925 in Tornado, WV to Grover Cleveland Hoy, Sr. and Ethel Bowman Hoy, he is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Twila Hensley Hoy, and two daughters Suzanne Crow (Stephen) of Madisonville and Laura Rae Prall (David) of Johns Creek, GA. He was blessed with two grandchildren, Leslie Dunn (Matt) of Roswell, GA and Derek Prall of Atlanta, GA, and two great grandchildren, Luke and Lila Dunn. A graduate of Morris Harvey College in Charleston, WV, Henry was predeceased by two brothers, William Lindsey Hoy of Blacksburg, VA and Grover C. Hoy, Jr. of Charleston, WV, and a sister Anna Laura Wood, of Tornado, WV. One of the 'Greatest Generation', Henry proudly served his country during World War II in the US Navy aboard the USS Brill (SS-330) in the Pacific Theater. He was a Master Mason of the Grand Lodge of Texas, Richardson #1214 and a member of the Texas Chapter of US Submarine Veterans of World War II. A resident of St. Tammany since 2003, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Covington. Henry was an honest, kind and gentle man beloved by everyone he met and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family sincerely thanks the staff and management of The Trace in Covington for the care and kindness shown to Henry while he made his home at The Trace. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 27th at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA. Visitation begins at 11:00 am. Interment with military honors to follow at 2:00 pm at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans' Cemetery in Slidell. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Henry's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida US Navy ===================
