VOELKEL, MARK ANDREW 
June 8, 1952 - February 28, 2015

Mark Andrew Voelkel passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on 
Saturday, February 28, 2015 at home on Voelkel Farm in Covington, LA. 
He was born Sunday, June 8, 1952 the beloved son of Vivian McCollum and Henry 
W. Voelkel, a sweet bundle of love in the form of a little person. 

He spent the subsequent 62 years as an example of giving and receiving 
unconditional love with his parents, family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father Henry and is survived by his mother 
Vivian; two devoted brothers - Kenneth Alan Voelkel and Norman Henry Voelkel 
(wife Pam); niece – Heather Voelkel Youngblood (Dan); nephews – Andrew (Carol), 
Dan (Nikki) and Sam (Hope) Voelkel - Paysse (Jamie), Scott (Yancey) and Kennon 
(Kim) McWilliams; and 24 great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his 
protector, Junior, the family dog. 

Special thanks to Maria and Cecilia McMullen for their loving care and 
assistance.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 11:00 AM on 
Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. 
Covington, LA 70433.

Visitation on Wednesday will begin at 10:00 AM.

Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington will immediately follow 
services.
