She was a native of St. Bernard Parish and a resident of St. Tammany Parish since Hurricane Katrina. Elvira was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lily Baum Bachemin; her husband, Edward Bouterie, Sr.; her son, Edward Bouterie, Jr.; her grandsons, Sydney Waksman and Danny Bouterie. Elvira “Granny” is survived by her grandsons, Larry and Wayne Bouterie; and her granddaughter, Connie Beaujeaux. Also survived by her great grandchildren, Ian Hano, Angela and Jonathan Bouterie, Amanda Poissant, Brian and Heather Beaujeaux and several great great grandchildren. Elvira, also known as “Sis”, had many friends especially Barbara Thibodeaux and her family. She was a person who doted her life with love and compassion. She will forever be loved and missed. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Mandeville City Cemetery, Mandeville, LA. ===================
