Loving mother of Margaret Duracher Flettrich. Mother-in-law of Arnold Flettrich. Daughter of the late Bertha Devuyrst Bennett and William Andrew Bennett. Sister of the late John Links, Bertha Links Farley Gratia, Mary Bennett Haddican Mische, William Harold Bennett, Eugene Cornelius Bennett, Ethel Bennett Haney, Rose Bennett Thorn, Malcolm George Bennett and Elizabeth Ann Bennett. Grandmother of Adam Paul Flettrich (Corinne) and Amanda Flettrich Bergeron. Great-grandmother of Jenna Rose Bergeron and Landry Bennett Flettrich. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Ruth was a graduate of Redemptorist Girls High School. She was an employee of Crescent Box Factory and Weyerhaeuser Box Factory where she was a Forelady and was a secretary at St. Louise de Marillac School from 1963 until 1998. She was a former parishioner of St. John Vianney, St. Louise de Marillac and St. Jane de Chantal and received the St. Louis Medallion. Ruth was a native of New Orleans, raised in the Irish Channel, lived in Arabi for 53 years and retired to Abita Springs. She was an avid swimmer, played basketball and was an all around athlete. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St., Abita Springs, LA 70420 on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM with visitation at church on Tuesday beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery #3. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Duracher to be made to the Ozanam Inn, 843 Camp St., New Orleans, LA 70130. ===================
