Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/sttammany/obits/dateobits/2015/st1503.htm and click to view list of photos. ========== Gayle Ann Mayeux McRae, age 51, of Mandeville, passed away on Thursday, March 12th 2015, after a lengthy, courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Gayle was a beautiful, spirited, intelligent woman who took great pride in her career and her family. Cooking and gardening were her two passions. She will be sorely missed by those she leaves behind. Gayle was a native of New Orleans and a long time resident of Mandeville. A graduate of St. James Major High School, she went on to obtain both a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and an MBA from the University of New Orleans. She was a dedicated employee and worked as a financial analyst, consultant, and hedge accountant for such notable companies as Texaco, Entergy, Dominion, Frontier Drilling, and Cetco Oilfield Services. She is preceded in death by her father, Gene Raymond Mayeux of Simmesport; her maternal grandparents, Eddie Roy and Edine Supper Roy of Hessmer; and her paternal grandparents, Horace Randall Mayeux and Verna Vead Mayeux of Simmesport. She leaves behind her husband, Gregory McRae; a daughter, Emily Rose; her mother, Ruth Roy Mayeux of Hessmer; two sisters, Sharon Mayeux Moore of Plaquemine (wife of Bruce Moore); Deborah Mayeux Foggo of Alexandria (wife of Sonny Foggo); and two nephews, Devin Michael Rooney and Joshua Mayeux Carrone. Visitation will be Friday, March 13th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Second visitation to be held Saturday, March 14th at 12:00 noon at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church 1981 Hwy 114, Hessmer, LA 71341. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1:00 pm with interment immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Gayle’s name to The Familial Ovarian Cancer Registry ===================
