"Bill" Salvaggio passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015 at his home in Metairie at the age of 45. Born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie all of his life. Bill received his BA from Tulane University and his Juris Doctorate with an Environmental Law Certificate from The Tulane School of Law and throughout his young life, was a self-employed attorney. A longtime member of Kappa Alpha Order and the Grand Lodge of Louisiana, F. & A.M. Bill loved spending time with his son, William, watching movies and Boston Red Sox baseball games. Husband of Penny Mehrtens Salvaggio. Devoted father of William J. Salvaggio, II, age 12. Half-brother of Gary McIntosh and Stephen McIntosh. Son of Roy Joseph Salvaggio (deceased) and Pamela Leahy Salvaggio. Son in law of Mr. and Mrs. John L Mehrtens and Joy Penny Mehrtens and RJ Pierce. Brother in law of John L Mehrtens, Jr (Kelley), Jennifer Mehrtens Lurtsema (Robert), and Justin C Mehrtens (Chantel). Uncle to Cathy Lynn, Lauren, Victoria, Hunter, Michael, and Robby. Nephew of Bill and Judy Leahy, beloved cousin of Lisa Grab (John), Shellie Herring (John), Boyd Leahy (Angie), Bill Leahy (Nicole), and Marty Leahy (Gretchen) and their families. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at St. Martin Episcopal Church, 2216 Metairie Rd., Metairie, at 1:00 pm. Visitation on Saturday at the church from 11:00 am until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the William J. Salvaggio II Educational Fund at Metairie Bank. ===================
