Henry Ascani, Jr. passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 in Mandeville, LA. 
He was born on September 22, 1925 in New Orleans, LA to the late Henry Ascani, 
Sr. and Sara Saia Ascani.

Henry was married to his beloved wife, Lorraine Bonneval Ascani, for 63 years 
and together they had three children, Yolande A. Bernard (Steve), Dianne A. 
Arndt (Teddy), and Dr. Ric Ascani (Marla). He leaves behind six grandchildren, 
Jennifer Bernard Allen (Mark), Stephanie Bernard Rodriquez (Milton), Rachelle 
Brown (Paul), Crystin Puderer Jones (Matt), Brandon Puderer (Lindsey), and 
Ashlynn Dawn Arndt, and ten great-grandchildren. Henry was the brother of Sam 
Ascani, the late Marie Ascani McCrocklin, and Joseph Ascani.

Henry was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Covington, LA for 21 
years. He studied at St. Joseph Seminary in St. Benedict, LA. Henry was a 
topographical draftsman for Southern Natural Gas, Kerr McGee Oil and Gas, and 
retired as Chief Draftsman, offshore, for Freeport McMoRan. He was a 
parishioner of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Covington, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on 
Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., 
Covington, LA 70433, at 11:00 AM with Visitation from 9:00 AM until service 
time. 

Interment will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 
Covington, LA
