William Grant Black 59, Lifelong resident of Slidell, Louisiana left this Earth 
April 24, 2015.

He was born October 1, 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Frances Keel Black and 
William Grant Black (deceased.) 

Leaving behind his sister Ginny Black Faircloth, brother Sean Christopher 
Black, wife of 40 years Sylvia Stanton Black, Children William Grant Black III 
(Patrycja) and Robert Christopher Black (Angela), Grand Children Bruce, Andrew, 
Madison and Emma.

Grant Received a Bachelor of Science from UNO majoring in Paleontology. He was 
an avid traveler, wine enthusiast, he was a taekwondo black belt, a PADI Dive 
Master, acknowledged as one of the Southeast Regions top camellia growers, 
little league baseball coach, but was most passionate about his family.

Services will be held at Saint Margaret Mary Church, 1050 Robert Blvd, Slidell, 
LA, on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Visitation is from9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. 
Funeral mass at 11:00A.M. Intermit following at St Joseph’s Abbey, Covington, 
LA.

His family wishes to thank the caring staff at Slidell Memorial Hospital for 
easing his suffering.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations to the Crohn's 
and Colitis Foundation of America.
