He was born on September 6, 1921 and was a lifelong resident of Madisonville, LA. Andrew proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He was predeceased by his mother, Leona Perrilloux Goldate, father, Albert Goldate, two sisters Verma Goldate, and Ernestine Goldate Chatellier Meyers, four brothers, Leo, Joseph, Vernon, and Allen Goldate, and a great grandson, James Matthew Rushing. Andrew is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Aura Mae Hano Goldate, and his children Brenda and Lee Simpson, Deborah and Wayne Rushing, Linda and Pete Lalanne, and Carol and Ron Barlow. He is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 07, 2015 at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary St. Madisonville, LA 70447. Visitation on Monday, April 06, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 and on Tuesday, April 07, 2015 at St. Anselm Catholic Church from 9:00 AM to service time. Interment in Theodore Dendinger Cemetery Madisonville, LA.
