He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Vondelle Erichson Golden and his three adoring children, Lydia Golden Bernstein (Brock), Jennifer Golden and Gregory Golden (Kaori), who along with his precious grandchildren, Leison Bernstein, and Nicole and Nona Golden, will all miss him greatly. Bill was born July 1st 1933 in Metairie, La., grandson of La. Senator George Reitmeyer Sr., son of the late Emily Reitmeyer and William Golden, Sr., brother of the late Emily Maher. He is survived by his sisters Marilyn Brinkmann and Joyce Hackett. He is also survived and well loved by his sisters-in-law, Sharron Demarest and Mary Gail Favret, and many devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Bill was an Alumni of Warren Easton High School in New Orleans, served as a U.S. Navy electrician on the U.S.S. Pittsburgh, graduated from South Eastern La. College in Hammond, La. and received his Juris Doctorate of law from Loyola University in New Orleans, La. After many years of being in the claims business in New Orleans, La. Mr. Golden practiced law at Accardo, Carville, Edrington, LeBlanc and Golden in Laplace, La. He loved his studies and work life almost as much as he loved the outdoors, especially fishing, cooking and eating the fruits of his catch. He loved road trips across country, camping, hiking, and travel adventures he had with good friends and family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433, at 2:00 p.m. with Visitation on Wednesday beginning at 12:00 noon until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Golden to be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association U.S. Navy ===================
