Guitta Chaiban Haik, a resident of Covington, La. passed away on Friday, April 
24, 2015 peacefully, surrounded by family, at the age of 79. 

Guitta was born on March 2, 1936 in Beirut Lebanon. She lived in Lebanon until 
she was 23 years old at which time she married and moved to Covington, La. 
where she lived for the past 56 years of her life.

She was a loving wife to George Haik and had four children who she loved and 
cherished. 

She was also able to bring family members from overseas to live here with their 
families over time. She was known for her love and devotion to her family and 
her steadfast faith in God. 
Guitta was regarded as a very caring and selfless Christian by all who knew 
her. 

Guitta was preceded in death by her husband George Haik, her mother and father 
Linda and Elias Chaiban, her brother George Chaiban and her sister Renee 
Chaiban. 
She was also preceded by her sister-in-law Yvonne Haik Wagner. 

She is survived by her daughters Claudette Haik Nassif and Jolie Haik Khoury, 
her two sons, Marcel Victor Haik and George Norman Haik, Jr. 
She is also survived by five grandsons, Philip, Paul and Elliot Khoury and 
George and Elie Nassif and son-in-law Nakhle Nassif. 
Guitta is also survived by nine siblings. Mraud, Joseph, Nicolas and Mitri 
Chaiban and Georgette, Jeanette, Yola, Hana and Lila Chaiban and all of their 
families.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Saturday from 11:00 
AM to service time.
A Funeral Service at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 02, 2015 at E. J. Fielding 
Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433.

Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Covington, LA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association,
