Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara Pounds Lewis Father of Shelly Baradell(Michael), David Richard “Ricky” Lewis and Amy Wynne(Clive). Son of the late David Lewis and Myrtis Lee Sheridan Lewis. Brother of John A. Lewis and the late Joyce Lee Wiley. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, Christian Gelis, Cameron Gelis(Lesley) and Camille Gelis, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. . A native of Bogalusa, La. and a resident of Slidell, La. since 1964. After graduating from Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in Mathematics, David began his career as a Computer Systems Analyst in the Aerospace Industry, retiring from Lockheed Martin in January, 2000. David was a very dedicated family man and passionate about his career. He was an avid LSU fan! He regularly attended games in Tiger Stadium with his children and grandchildren. His love for the baseball team led him to Omaha on several occasions. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling, music, movies and jigsaw puzzles. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Services at First Baptist Church, 4141 Pontchartrain Drive, Slidell, LA, 70458,on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation at the church on Saturday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time. Donations to Music Ministry or the Youth Scholarship Fund of First Baptist Church,preferred, in lieu of flowers. ===================
