October 6, 1936 - April 27, 2015 George “Uncle Sug” Eddie Robinson, Jr. - born Tuesday, October 06, 1936 and God summoned him Monday, April 27, 2015. He was the son of the late George Eddie and Mary H. Robinson, Sr. Preceded in death by 5 sisters, Martha Rivers, Annie Lucas, Mary Thomas, Willie Hiedelberg, and Etta Robinson, all natives of New Orleans, La. In this life he attended Albert Wicker High School in New Orleans, La. He was baptized at an early age at Morning Star B.C. under the tutelage of Reverend Myles and he later moved his membership to Faith Love and Hope B.C., Kenner, La. He was also blessed to once wed Ernestine Robinson. A hard working man who worked and retired as both a tractor driver for Jefferson Parish and an orderly at East Jefferson Hospital after thirty years. George leaves behind his only child and devoted daughter, Deborah (Sterling) Winston, Sr.; 6 loving step children, Carolyn (Edwin) Joseph, Kathy (Jerry) Ramsey, Sr., Charles (Clara) Hardges, Darrell Bethea, Floyd Hardges, Jeffrey Hardges; 36 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren and 1great great grandchild; three siblings, Elise Robinson, Fannie White, Theodore Robinson, Sr.; and his favorite brother-in-law, Uncle Tommy; two god daughters, Linda Morton and Classy Robinson; one god son, David Earl; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Uncle Sug will be remembered most for his generous spirit and being the life of the party. You can count on him to show up with groceries, goodies and a light hearted joke sure to put a smile on your face. Uncle Sug will surely be missed by many. A.C.R.O.P. Ministry, His Will Family Worship, Everlasting Love Mission Ministry, New Hope, St. Mark B.C., Family Alliance Hospice, Delta Grand Nursing Facility, relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 04, 2015 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Monday, May 04, 2015 from 10:00 AM to service time. Officiating is Apostle Antoinette Wheeler of Everlasting Love Mission Ministry. Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens at a later date. ===================
