He was a loving brother, husband and father. He was a faithful member of New Zion Baptist Church where he served as deacon for many years. The beloved husband of the late Betty “Bo” Fussell for 37 years, he is survived by two sons - Eldridge and Randal; one sister - Sadie McClendon; his sisters- in-law - Louise and Lydia Sharp; two daughters-in-law - Ann and Jolie; and three grandchildren - Logan, Tanner and Abigail. He was preceded in death by his parents - Percy Sharp and Annie Thomas Sharp; two brothers - Clyde and Hezzie Sharp and brother-in-law - Billy McClendon. After serving in the Army during WWII, he returned home and worked at the Louisiana Tung Company. He then began a career at the Louisiana Department of Transportation that spanned 33 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at New Zion Baptist Church, 17387 New Zion Church Rd. Covington, LA 70435. Visiting hours at the Church on Thursday will begin at 11:00am. Interment at Fussell Cemetery will immediately follow services.
