Robert L. Winter, Jr. passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at his home in 
Covington, LA. 
He was born on February 16, 1959 in Long Branch, NJ to the late Robert L. 
Winter, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Kane Winter.

Robert was married to his beloved wife, Kathy Rhoto Winter for 35 years and 
together they had three children, Jeffrey R. Winter (Dana), Brian J. Winter 
(Katy Leachman), and the late Paul V. Winter. He was the grandfather of Blair 
Winter. Robert was the brother of Martha McGee (the late Pat), Lori Ryan 
(Steve), Susan Winter (Barb), Margaret Winter, Beth Merkel (Jim), Bill Winter 
(Kelli), and James Winter. He will be missed by his special uncle and aunt, 
Kane and Peg, and special friends, Roger and Lisa.

Robert was a dedicated supervisor with Halliburton for 35 years. He was a life-
long member of the WHO DAT Nation and devoted LSU Tiger. He was a loyal father, 
brother, friend, and husband. His Kathy will miss her Precious Robert.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Liturgy of the 
Word on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st 
Ave., Covington, LA 70433, at 3:00 PM with Visitation from 1:00 PM until 
service time.
