BERNARD, LYNNE THEOBOLD 
Born: Mon., Jul. 9, 1962 - Died: Thu., May 7, 2015

Lynne Bernard passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the age of 52 after a 
courageous 3 year battle with brain cancer.  

She was born in New Orleans, LA on July 9, 1962 to Lorraine and Chris Theobold.  

She was a Christian who was active in the Catholic Church for her entire life 
and most recently attended mass at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church near 
Covington, LA where she was a Eucharistic Minister.

She is the beloved wife of Durward Bernard and mother of her 10 year old pride 
and joy Rhett Bernard.

She resided near Covington, LA for the past five years and lived in Southern 
California for the prior 15 years. She grew up in Chalmette, LA and lived there 
for the largest part of her life.

She graduated from Southeastern with an Accounting degree and went on to earn 
her CPA and graduated with an MBA from the University of New Orleans. She 
worked as an accountant for several companies in Louisiana and California, most 
recently with GlobalStar in Covington.

She is survived by her husband, Durward; son, Rhett; mother, Lorraine; three 
brothers, Chris, Glenn, and Michael; and her Godmother, Marilyn Campeaux with 
whom she has always had a special relationship.  She was preceded in death by 
her father,  Chris.

Special thanks to the Hospice House in Slidell and to their staff and 
caregivers.  They provided amazing care for Lynne during the last months of her 
life.  Our family was truly blessed by them.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial mass in the chapel of 
Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA on Monday, May 11, 
2015 at 11:00 am.   Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time. 

Interment will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Covington, LA.
