Brian William Corkern passed away Friday evening, May 1, 2015. 

He was born in Washington Parish, the son of Vernon and Bertha Corkern and 
lived in the Franklinton area most of his life.

Brian's favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing and visiting with his many 
friends and large family. He was known for going out of his way to help friends 
in need, and recently spent the last 2 years caring for his elderly mother at 
her home in Covington until her passing in March. He truly had a servant's 
heart.

Brian was preceded in death by both of his parents. 

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Dustin and Lindsey Corkern and 
his grandson Ryland of Pearland, Texas, along with his sister and brother-in-
law Marilyn and Howard Guild of Orinda, CA, his brother Bruce Corkern of 
Covington, and his niece and her husband Haley and Sean Moore of Oakland, CA, 
and many relatives in Washington and St. Tammany Parishes. 

Brian will be sadly missed by his many friends as well.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service honoring his 
life on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at Crain Funeral Home in 
Franklinton. 

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to First Baptist Church of 
Franklinton or the Louisiana Wildlife Federation.
