Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Francis Evans. Loving mother of Ellen Cote, Cynthia Brooking, Paul Evans (Elizabeth), Steven Evans (Sheila) “adopted son” Mark Evans (Diana) and the late Madeline Weber. Daughter of the late Meta Holmes Wallace and John Wallace. Grandmother of Michelle Ross, Nathan Grice (Debbie), Nicole Cote and Paul Cote. Great- grandmother of Mikayla Ross and Katelynn Ross. Patsy and Lloyd moved to Shreveport, La from New Orleans in 1960 and founded Lloyd’s Towing Service, serving the Shreveport area for over 54 years. Patsy and Lloyd traveled extensively and were always looking for new adventures or experiences. They were married for 49 years until he passed away in 1998. Patsy moved back to her family’s “compound” in Covington shortly afterward so she could be with her extended family once again. She absolutely loved living closer to her family in the New Orleans area once again, and enjoyed her final years living on the compound. Patsy lived life on her terms, always. She loved a party and a good gin and tonic, which she enjoyed during her last hospital stay courtesy of her “chosen” daughter, Catherine Brooking. She made fast friends and kept many of her friends for her entire life. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She felt especially grateful to Charles and Lanita Green, who helped make her last days easier. The family would like to express our sincere and everlasting appreciation to Notre Dame Hospice for all the care, compassion and acts of kindnesses they administered to us and mom during this sacred but difficult time. Patsy was an active member of St John’s Catholic Church in Shreveport, La serving many years in the Ladies Circle. She attended St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Covington. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Saturday beginning at 9:00 AM with a rosary at 10:30AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Evans to be made to Operation Smile, www.operationsmile.org . ===================
