Sloan Heap McDow of Folsom, LA died on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the age of 14. 
He was born on Friday, September 1, 2000 to the most loving and caring parents, 
Glenn Heap and Pamela Rainey McDow. 

He shared an amazing bond with three brothers - Slade G. McDow, his twin - 
Saylem R. McDow and Slayton K. McDow. 
Both grandmothers survive him - Dorothy Heap McDow and June Wood Rainey. 

He was preceded in death by one brother - Seth F. Hoover and both grandfathers 
- Dennis W. McDow, Jr. and Robert Rainey, Jr. He is also survived by countless 
aunts, uncles and cousins.

A special opportunity to pay respects will be given to the many teammates, 
students and faculty members of the local Junior High Schools that Sloan was 
able to touch with his warm and gracious nature. E.J. Fielding Funeral Home 
will be open immediately after the school day from 3:30 - 4:15 PM on Wednesday, 
May 13, 2015 at 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. A time of collective 
prayer and a short message especially for the students will begin at 4:15 PM.

Following the time dedicated for students on Wednesday, relatives and friends 
of the family are invited to call between the hours of 6:00 - 9:00 PM.

Visiting hours on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM will also take 
place at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.

Musical selections, readings and eulogies will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday at 
the funeral home. A funeral procession will then leave en route to the Rainey 
Chapel in Folsom, LA where funeral services will begin around Noon.

Sloan will be buried next to his brother at the Bennett Cemetery.
