Beloved wife of 61 years to Donald (Don) S. Reed. Daughter of the late Florence Doyle Hosch and Henry William Hosch. Sister of Lorraine Hosch Waguespack (the late Wilson “Sonny”), Roland E. Hosch (the late Shirell) and the late Clarence G. Hosch, Henry W. Hosch, Jr., Doris Hosch Gabriel and Donald J. Hosch. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Carolyn was a native of the greater New Orleans area, a resident of Abita Springs for the past twenty years where she was a parishioner of St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church and was a charter member of the Abita Springs Red Hat Ladies Club. Carolyn was a graduate from the New Orleans Public Schools. She was a sales associate for over 50 years with D.H. Holmes and Dilliard’s where she won many sales awards and was one of the original salesperson’s who opened the Lakeside Shopping Center location. The family would like to thank Maria Roberts for her exceptional love and compassionate care over the past years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Jane de Chantal, 72040 Maple St., Abita Springs, LA 70420 on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 11:30 AM with visitation at church on Monday beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment and the graveside service will follow in Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Reed to be made to the charity of your choice. ===================
