Ronald Laverne Songer, 77, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by 
family in Mandeville, LA, on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.

He was born September 11, 1937 in Natrona Heights, PA to Madlyn Harmon and 
Harold Laverne Songer.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary Ann Richards Songer. 
They were married at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Natrona Heights, PA. 

Ron was blessed with 4 daughters, Tammy Kaplan (Lee), Kimberly Lewis (Terry), 
Cynthia Songer, Robin Warmack ; Grandchildren; Victoria Eulenfeld, Matthhew 
Lemming, Parker Warmack and Great- Grandson, Jacob Eulenfeld. He was preceded 
in death by his parents Madlyn and Harold Songer. Left to cherish his memory is 
his only beloved sister Donna Songer Whitecomb and husband Ed- her 3 daughters 
and many nieces and nephews.

Ron attended Freeport High School, class of 55 in Pennsylvania. He served in 
the United States Air Force for 6 ½ years as a Jet Mechanic.

He retired from US Airlines in New Orleans after serving 20 years as Operations 
Manager. Ron was an avid fisherman and he loved being on his boat and traveling 
to see loved ones across the United States.

At Ron’s request there will be no memorial services.
