Nancy Jane Keller Heap of Lacombe, LA, passed away on June 18, 2015. She was 62 
years old.

She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina in 
1975 and soon thereafter began a nearly thirty-year career with Delta Airlines. 
She lived along Bayou de Zaire in Madisonville, LA, for twenty years until 
relocating to Lacombe following a prolonged hospitalization and convalescence. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, David W. and Jane H. Keller of 
Saluda, SC, and her first husband, Alvin Jeremiah McCarthy of Madisonville. She 
is survived by her son, Douglas Cook, and granddaughter, Hailey Morgan Cook, 
both of Lacombe; and her brother, David W. Keller III of Seattle, WA.

She was laid to rest in Theodore Dendinger Cemetery in Madisonville.

Her family is very grateful for the loving care that she received from 
Greenbriar Community Care Center and Canon Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be sent in her name to Canon Hospice, 
1221 S. Clearview Pkwy, New Orleans, LA 70121.
