She never forgot how she danced the role of Clara in Lelia Haller Ballet Classique’s production of the Nutcracker in the 1950s, or won the Camp spirit award at Camp Kohahna in Michigan. A UNO graduate and life-long resident of Lake Vista until Hurricane Katrina, Gretchen was a dedicated teacher of court reporting and helped many students become certified professionals as Director of Education at the former Professional Institute of Court Reporting in Kenner. Gretchen held a lifelong passion of collecting funky treasures and amazing antiques which she carried with her to her retirement in Robert, LA with her daughter and her family where she enjoyed Dancin’ to the Oldies at Francos Gym in Mandeville, caring for her grandchildren and attending the Christian Science Church of Covington. Gretchen fought a long battle against Parkinsons disease until her death on Tuesday, June 2, 2015. She is survived by Dr. Anne-Liese Juge Fox & Greg Fox, Jr., Denny Juge and Kettye Voltz Juge, Michael Juge and Marjorie Trace Juge; grandchildren, Jack Juge, Hal Fox III, Conner Fox, Olive Juge, Logan Juge, Genevieve Juge, Leilia Fox and Ivy Juge. She was pre-deceased by her parents Wilmer T. von Gohren and Thelma Parker von Gohren. ===================
