Mary Lucille Bankston Pecoraro passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2015 
at the age of 94.  
She was born in Port Arthur, TX, was raised in Hammond, LA, lived most of her 
adult life in New Orleans, and spent her final 8 years in Mandeville, LA. 

Mary is survived by her loving children, Susan Pecoraro Davis (Bernie), George 
Pecoraro, and Ronald Pecoraro (Elizabeth); and her adoring grandchildren, Adam 
and Rebecca Davis. 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Jeanne and Edgar Bankston, as well 
as her sister, Lorena Bankston Montegut and brother, John Bankston.

Mary raised her three children and worked in the cardiology department at 
Charity Hospital from 1964 to 1994.  Her sense of humor, love of conversation, 
devotion to family and friends will be remembered by all who knew her.  She 
brought laughter to us all.  She never found a burden too heavy or a road too 
long and lived life with an abundant and contagious humor and grace.  

She will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel 
of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA on Thursday, July 
2, 2015 at 11:30 am.   Visitation from 9:30 am until service time. 

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
