Joseph Prejean passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at his home in 
Covington, LA. 
He was born on August 13, 1927 in Lafayette, LA to the late Louis Prejean, Sr. 
and Celima Martin Prejean.

Joseph was married to his beloved wife, Doris M. Prejean, for 66 years and 
together they had four children, Virginia Lee Prejean, Haywood W. Prejean (BJ), 
Kenneth J. Prejean, Sr. (Cheryl), and Joann P. Williams. 

He will be dearly missed by his 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. 
Joseph was the brother of the late Wilfred Prejean, Clopha Prejean, Louis 
Prejean, Lucille Weber, Ozite Smalley, and Louise Credeur.

Joseph spent his entire career working in oil fields around the world. His 
sense of humor will be greatly missed and never met a stranger. Joseph was a 
generous man, a devoted husband, and loving father who was concerned with 
taking care of his family even as, in his final days, they cared for him.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Services at E.J. Fielding 
Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, June 27, 
2015 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. 

Interment will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 
Covington, LA
